Cheap Gatwick Express Tickets
So, what’s the secret to cheaper ticket prices? Just head on over to raileasy.trainsplit.com and they will split the journey into two, which works out cheaper.
As you can see above, the ticket now comes to just £12.21. The way this works is that you end up buying two tickets. One is from Gatwick to either Croydon East or Croydon West, with the other from there to London Victoria. The tickets cost £5.30 and £6.20 respectively. This website also adds on a small commission, which in this case is £0.71.
The only thing to be aware of is that you need to get a train that stops at either Croydon East or Croydon West. You don’t need to get off the train, so it’s no different from getting a single ticket.
You can use this website to find cheaper rail fares for anywhere in the UK, so it’s not just for the Gatwick Express.
